Apartment and condo moves have their own rules: a Town Center tower that gives you a two-hour freight-elevator block, a Ghent walk-up with a switchback staircase, an Oceanfront building that wants a certificate of insurance on file before the crew sets foot inside. We plan the building first, then the move, so your loading window doesn’t get burned standing around.

What’s Included

  • Crews timed to your reserved freight-elevator block
  • Building COIs filed with property management ahead of move day
  • Floor and corner protection for shared lobbies, halls, and stairwells
  • Stair-carry handling for walk-ups when there’s no elevator
  • Same-day and next-day slots for tight lease deadlines

How Move Day Goes

Before the date, we lock in your elevator reservation and get any required certificate of insurance to the building. On move day the crew arrives staged and ready, protects the lobby and corridor, and works the load to fit the window, whether that’s a high-rise off I-264 in Pembroke or a third-floor walk-up in Ghent. For a condo with an HOA, we follow the posted move-in hours so nobody gets a noise complaint.

What’s Not Included

  • Reserving the freight elevator with management is yours to book, though we’ll tell you how long to request
  • HOA or building move-in fees charged by the property
  • Parking permits where a city loading zone requires one

Price Guidance

Most apartment jobs use our 2-mover crew at $129/hr; for a hard elevator deadline or a four-floor walk-up, the 3-mover crew at $179/hr finishes inside the window. Flat rate locked in writing before we load.

Move Typical crew Rate
Studio / 1-bed 2 movers + truck $129/hr
2-bed or high-rise w/ elevator window 3 movers + truck $179/hr

“I cannot recommend Elite Shed Movers enough. They communicated well, the movers were efficient, careful and the pricing was by far the best. If I ever have to move again, I will definitely be calling them again.”

“I can’t recommend the crew of Kyle, Nate, and Javario enough. They showed up and knocked out the tasks so quickly, my wife came downstairs confused by how it was done already. They were super helpful, top notch customer service, and overall great guys. We’ve ran into issues with movers in the past, so I always make a point to acknowledge great support and workers.”

Service Questions

Can you finish before my freight-elevator reservation runs out?
That's the plan. We ask about your reserved elevator block up front and size the crew, often three movers at $179/hr, so the load fits the window. The crew shows up staged and ready instead of setting up on your clock.
Do you handle building COIs and high-rise rules?
Yes. We file the certificate of insurance with property management ahead of move day and follow each building's move-in policy, from Town Center towers to Oceanfront condos. That keeps the front desk happy and the crew working.
Can you move a walk-up with no elevator?
All the time. Ghent and the Oceanfront have plenty of third- and fourth-floor walk-ups. We bring enough hands for the stair-carry and protect the shared stairwell so nothing gets scuffed on the way down.
My lease ends in two days, can you still help?
Very likely. We hold same-day and next-day slots open for last-minute moves. Call our Virginia Beach office with your address and building details and we'll tell you what crews are free.
