Yes. Elite Shed Movers is a fully licensed and insured local moving company based in Virginia Beach, VA; we run our own trucks and uniformed crews, with US DOT/MC authority on file. We are a registered Virginia household-goods mover, bonded and insured, with workers' comp on every crew member.

No. We own our seven trucks and employ our own movers, sixteen people on payroll with fourteen of them on the crews. The people who quote your move are the people who load it, drive it, and unload it. There is no second company you have never met showing up at your door.

Usually the same day, often within the hour. Call our office or send your inventory and access details, and we will turn around a flat written rate quickly. The number we give you is the number you pay.

Yes. We hold weekday slots open on purpose for short-notice work, and we run weekends too. If another mover canceled on you or a closing moved up, call our Virginia Beach office and we will check the schedule right away. Open slots mean we can often cover a same-day or next-day move.

We do. Hampton Roads is a Navy region and we move military families all the time, including personally procured moves (PPM, sometimes called DITY) and ordinary local moves across the area. To be clear, we are not a DOD contractor; we move service members and their families like any other resident, on our own trucks.

Yes. For interstate work we run on our own US DOT and MC authority, with a binding written quote from $1,890 and one crew that loads, drives, and unloads the whole way. No van-line handoff, no swapping trucks at a warehouse.

Local moves are hourly: $129 an hour for two movers and a truck, $179 for three movers, with blankets, dollies, and shrink-wrap included. For larger or long-distance jobs we lock a flat rate in writing before we load, so the price does not creep on move day.

Yes. We keep clean, secure storage billed by the week and fully inventoried, so you can see exactly what is in there. It is handy when your closing dates do not line up or a new place is not ready.

Both. We will do a full pack of the whole house, a partial pack of just the kitchen and breakables, or simply move what you have already boxed. On a tight timeline, packing and the move can often happen in the same week. Ask for boxes and padding when you get your quote.

Your inventory, the access at both ends, and the distance the truck runs. Stairs, long carries from the door to the truck, elevator reservations, and bulky specialty items all factor in. Tell us about them up front and the written quote will reflect the real job, with no surprises on the day.

Released-value coverage at $0.60 per pound per item is included at no charge, and full-value protection that covers repair or replacement is available for a fee. We carry up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage per shipment and are bonded and insured. The claims window runs nine months.

Yes. Uprights, baby grands, gun safes, large gym equipment, and other oversized pieces are handled with the right dollies, straps, and padding. Specialty handling starts around $379, so tell us what you have when you call and we will bring the proper gear.

Regularly. Towers around Town Center, Ghent, and the Oceanfront usually require a certificate of insurance and a reserved freight elevator or loading dock. We provide the COI to building management ahead of time, book the elevator window, and arrange parking so the crew is not fighting the clock.

We take plenty of last-minute calls, but a week or two of lead time gives you the widest choice of dates and start times, especially in summer and around military PCS season. Either way, reach out and we will find the soonest slot that fits.
